Process driven construction
Systems that protect our people, our clients and our communities
Our clients expect a quality construction experience, and Pipeline & Civil has management systems in place to deliver it.
Our management systems ensure that H&S obligations are fulfilled, the quality of installation is maintained, the environment is protected, relationships with stakeholders are managed and jobs can easily be closed out with correct documentation.
This is achieved through our custom-built Integrated Management System in accordance with the following standards;
- ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational health and safety management systems)
- ISO 9001:2015 (Quality management systems)
- ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental management systems)
Safety is one of our core values: to plan first and do no harm. We pride ourselves on the high safety standards we set and we’re committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for our team and the general public. Staff are encouraged to speak up about hazards and report incidents so we can constantly improve health and safety.
Our clients benefit from knowing that all our processes and records are available to show how we manage safety. Plant management, safe site practices, competency training, client induction, compliance software, safety communication, wellbeing support services, temporary works training and management systems are all part of our processes.
Customised in-house leadership training for our Engineers, Supervisors and Leading Hands help our key staff to confidently lead a safety culture.
Our processes are developed in accordance with and audited against ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational health and safety management systems).
Best environmental practice is standard. From protecting tree roots and working with arborists, minimising waste and using recycled products where possible, to protecting the environment from concrete and slurry, planning and maintaining sediment control and protection from fuel spills.
Our ISO 14001:2015 certified system provides assurance that negative impacts on the environment are minimised through risk assessment, the right equipment, staff training and innovative construction methods.
Pipeline & Civil has set targets and milestones for reducing our wider environmental impacts as part of our business sustainability objectives. Targets and milestones are included in our quarterly environmental management report with a performance review by top management. The objectives are reviewed and updated annually by the Company Directors.
We pride ourselves on having a quality culture with the systems in place to back it up.
From the on-site QA sheets to ensure all the technical specifications are met, staff equipment training, calibration records, material specification compliance, to the CCTV and the as-builts – we put processes in place so that at the end of a job, clients have all the relevant documentation needed to close out the job.
Our ISO 9001:2015 standard certification provides the framework for the delivery of quality outcomes on all our projects.
Pipeline & Civil has achieved pre-qualification through a number of schemes and for select clients, including:
- Watercare Services
- Mobil NZ

We recognise the importance of a robust supply chain. Our suppliers and subcontractors have an influence on project outcomes and ultimately our reputation. Pipeline & Civil operates a supply chain management system as part of its Integrated Management System.
It is our preference is that our subcontractors are prequalified through the SiteWise system.
