Description
The project involved widening the Hillcrest Creek for 250m by constructing a cantilever retaining wall, the majority of which was located in private property.
In addition the existing box culvert crossing Hillcrest Avenue was duplicated, staged to maintain one lane of traffic.
The project was extremely challenging as access agreements prohibited access through private property. The retaining wall and 2000m3 of cut to waste was undertaken within the stream channel.
