The objective was to deliver a new wastewater scheme to service the Redhills SHA. The project was delivered as a Design and Construct contract under NZS3916:2013.

The scheme included:

  1. A branch sewer in the Redhills valley – 1800m of sewer ranging from 300NB to 750NB
  2.  A 141l/s pump station with underground storage tanks
  3. A 700m long 355OD HDPE rising main, discharging at the high point at Northside Drive.
  4. A 1400m long gravity sewer (400OD/450OD HDPE)
  5. A connection to the existing Massey North DPS069 pump station on Northside Drive

  • deep open cut installation of RCRRJ sewers
  • installation of gravity HDPE sewers by HDD to grades as low as 0.5%
